This is a flyer for a party in Los Angeles thrown by Chris Bowen. The artist is Ian O’Phelan. I love the monochromatic color and the handmade lettering.

Nick Tassone

Nick Tassone is currently studying at Rochester Institute of Technology in the field of New Media and Design. I love these images he created here. The use of older imagery and earth tones framed within these modern shapes is an interesting balance because I view these as something modern while they still have a natural organic feel to them.

Cinerama

Cinerama, on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, was designed by Welton Becket based on the goedesic dome developed by R. Buckminster Fuller. The 60s-inspired “Cinerama” sign is my favorite part and it flashes on and off at night. This image captures it on one of the rare cloudy days in Los Angeles.

I’ve always liked this poster for the Hitchcock film “Vertigo” designed by Saul Bass.

Tiepography

I am loving this Tiepography by Ed Nacional. The use of ties as a font is a super fun idea and I’m loving the pun in the title. Go to his site and browse around his other work. You’ll love his clean retro aesthetic.
